During the past week some exploration was carried out on the bell tower of St Patrick’s Church in which there are two bells that have been silent for a long time. Does anyone remember hearing the bells of St Patrick’s ringing? The Bells are in very good condition and we have done some restorative work to the iron fittings. Please God in the not so distant future they will ring out again. You will see some photos of the Bells below. The larger Bell is inscribed with the name of the Bishop Abraham Brownrigg who was Bishop of Ossory at that time of installation and who is buried in the Church.
