This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord and the Christmas Season comes to an end. During the past twelve days or more we have celebrated God with us, the Word made flesh. God has entered into our world and our lives. This weekend we see Jesus immersing himself in the Jordan a powerful image once again of God immersing God's self into creation and humanity, making our lives and our world Holy. Jesus is anointed by the Holy Spirt so we might all be Baptised into him, living as members of his body sharing everlasting life. This weekend let us give thanks for our own Baptism and renew the promises made on that special day on our behalf.
