On Wednesday 18th October during our 10.30 am Mass at St Fiacre's we will celebrate the anointing of the sick to mark the feast of St Luke. Luke is traditionally understood to have been a physician. Hence the many medical facilities named after him including our own St Luke's Hospital here in Kilkenny.
His Gospel presents us with Jesus as one who cares especially for the poor and the sick.
